| Feb. 23rd, 2009 12:27 am Gamer Misery My XBox controller broke on Friday and my console broke today. I am one sad individual.
What saddens me more is that I'm honestly considering going out and buying a brand new one tomorrow...
I knew this was going to happen. Stupid console HAD to wait until the bet was over to finally prove me right. Stupid box.
EDIT: Microsoft Customer Support is populated by morons! Even after I gave them all of my information, they somehow managed to file/register my console under my brother's name! How the hell do they pull that act of idiocy off!? Current Mood: melancholy

| Feb. 6th, 2009 03:46 am What a week! Wow I'll definitely be writing about the time that I'm having out here but I can definitely say that its been a stellar one. I'm both looking forward to and dreading these last few days though. Most likely, I'll be writing a new lengthy post when I get back but while I'm having a great time, I can also say that I'm most certainly looking forward to getting home and returning to my cave to not come out for quite some time. ^_^ Here I come, hibernation. | Mar. 14th, 2008 01:54 pm Chicago People Tourist Advice So, apparently a friend of mine is going out there next week on business and wanted some advice on cool things to do/see while he's out there. Since we don't really do the tourist thing too often, I was light on ideas. I did mention Chinatown, Fry's, the Millenium Bean and Mitsuwa but can you guys come up with any other stuff worth mentioning? Current Mood: curious

| Feb. 3rd, 2008 02:32 pm 20000 Strong for Obama in Wilmington! While hanging out with Matt and Jack last night, I was expressing my interest in voting for Barack Obama but that I was worried in regards to my reasonings. Jack goes on to mention that he was actually going to be speaking in Rodney Square today and I immediately perked up. After all, I could wake up, get dressed, and then walk five blocks to see the man in person and hear what he has to say. Funny enough, I still ended up going to bed at 5am...
After a weird dream involving a friend that could transform into a rain cloud, her crying to me in regards to workplace injustice, and an evil hypnotist chanting some disturbing crap into my ears, I woke up and rushed up to the Square. Upon my arrival, I was shocked by the amount of people that had turned out for this thing and I was even MORE shocked by the fact that a much larger number showed up after I did.In the end, people barely had room to move around and I had to clap far less often than I wanted to because the space just wasn't there for me to reposition my arms. Throughout the Obama speech, people were occasionally chanting lines such as "MR. PRESIDENT!!" or asking me to take pictures of him with their camera due to me being one of the few people in my area that could actually see him (I could see over the ENTIRE crowd). I found it especially funny when a woman actually motioned to me and said: "What is Mr. Obama wearing? What color is his suit?"
As far as the actual speech went, I enjoyed listening to what I he had to say but as he would read off his goals and proposals, I could only think that I've heard these sorts of promises before. In fact, it wasn't until the end of his speech that I actually took an interest in learning more about him. The reason? He went on to explain his lack of experience in Washington. I began to talk about how the other candidates are smearing him as a extreme hopeful and a man with no experience but in reality, extraordinary things begin with hope. And I personally feel that his lack of experience in DC could prompt him to take measures and go at angles untrudged by former politicians.
While I'm not as politically aware as some of the people that I associate with, I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I actually care about them. One thing that I took away from all of this is that I AM ready for a change and that I'll probably end up researching for this election far more than I have any previous elections that I've had to the right to vote in. And everyone else should do the same...
As for Tuesday, should I be in the Democratic party (I THINK I am in the Independant though...need to find my voting card again), my vote is most likely going to Barack Obama. Current Location: Home Current Mood: busy

| Feb. 1st, 2008 12:24 pm Classical Jams I'm at my desk listening to an old VT cd that I burned all those years ago and I stumbled across a few classical tracks that I had at the time.
Now, I'm wondering if anyone out there has any good classical recommendations as I think I'm going to purchase an album sometime within the next week. I miss good classical music. Current Location: Office Current Mood: relaxed Current Music: Bach - Toccata and Fugue in d

| Dec. 24th, 2007 02:49 am What the hell? Bad news: I went to scratch the side of my face and my glasses broke. (HUH!?!) Good-ish news: I think I may be able to fix them with some super glue...I THINK.
Good thing I didn't throw out my old glasses, I suppose. 1 comment - Leave a comment

| Dec. 16th, 2007 01:31 am I Am Legend Was a good viewing with some issues here and there but it really made me realize something after getting home.
Why are these studios fucking up the endings to these movies based on books? While I admit that it rocked for "The Mist", after hearing about the REAL plot for I Am Legend, I am suddenly disappointed. So, what saves this movie? Will Smith and the dog. Period. Current Mood: calm

| Dec. 15th, 2007 01:09 am And like with good news, I have some BAD news... UPS is claiming that they delivered a package to my house today (according to their website) and I don't have it here. Nowhere to be found.
What was the package?
My Rock Band replacement guitar....
Say farewell to $125. Motherfucker.
EDIT: For better or worse, they DIDNT listen to my instructions which is why it took me 3 attempts before I found it. They didn't leave the package in the front door (though the site says so), nor did they place it in the recycle bin. Instead, they placed it BEHIND the recycle bin. So, I guess that was a good thing but *phew*...I was scared for a minute there. Current Mood: relieved Current Music: Eyeshield 21 - Run to Win!

| Nov. 19th, 2007 11:21 pm Poor Phoenix...an Observation Seriously, the amount of lacerations on Phoenix thanks to Franziska has to be insane. The blood loss alone could resuscitate 4 people in need of blood donations! 4 comments - Leave a comment | |

| Nov. 17th, 2007 01:54 pm Fuck Fuck Fuck Fuck Well, its the beginning of my true shitstorm, I guess.
I woke up this morning to the police going over my car. Its evidence now. Apparently, it was hit with four bullets and now I'm not sure what to make of it...
The car APPEARS to be driveable but at the same time, the back window looks like it may break. And here I was supposed to drive somewhere later.
I have no clue what I'm going to do in this situation...its a new one for me. Current Mood: pissed off

| Nov. 8th, 2007 05:08 pm Opinions Requested: Real Post to come later At Boscov's (my mom's job): 42" Panasonic Plasma HDTV for $1k. I'd get her discount for another 100 dollars off, at least. Normal retail price: $1500- $1600.
Also, is Plasma still considered to be crap compared to LCD? 7 comments - Leave a comment

| Oct. 24th, 2007 01:23 am One strange thing that I did realize As I did my annual thinking process of "what I'm lacking for happiness (right now)" and "what I did wrong in the past year" I had an interesting moment that slipped in there.
I may not have my own home. I dont have an ass kicking job that has me saving lives, being a hero, raking in money, or placing me on a pedestal. I may be eternally single. And I may have a nerdy ass hobby in being an obsessive game collector.
But, I find it funny that a guy that was raised with practically zero social skills, was picked on mercilessly, and no athletic skills whatsoever, managed to amass a widespread collection of friends and associates that he never in his wildest dreams expected to have growing up. Some of those people may only pop up once a year. Others may be around every day. And still there are others that really know how to push my buttons and piss me off. But they are still valuable to me and I am ridiculously grateful to have those people in my life...even if I dont always show it.
Perhaps I have grown a bit, after all. ^_^ Current Mood: calm
